A person is called as healthy when mentally, physically, socially and *SPIRITUALLY* balanced. So also, spiritual wellbeing is very important to balance the life. We can see a lot of definitions on the above topics, but I feel rather than define it experiencing it is the fundamental thing. Because the definitions vary according to the experience. And if we stuck with the definitions and other experiences, our mind will search for the same during practices. So, it is always better to know the fundamentals and start the practices without a judgement.
The word yoga came from the word YUJ which means UNION, union of body mind and soul through the thread of breath.
People who live some years back always shown us this union through many examples, when they walk, eat, speak etc… Everywhere they are minute, clear, happy, balanced and less emotional.
It is very important that what we are going to practice should be preached in our daily life. A real guru or teacher who can guide you is very important during the spiritual practice. He can judge your state of mind as well as guide you the practice efficiently. Always know the core of the science and try to implement in your daily life. It is going to make a lot of differences. I have seen a lot of people who meditates for hours, sing bhajans, speak the high knowledge wisdom, etc but when they are met with the real public they will show the real character out. Is it spirituality, no of Couse not. It’s not something to show up, but to answer yourself about the self.
One of the beautiful definitions of yoga is,
“YOGAH CHITTAVRUTTY NIRODHA”
yoga can minimize or stop the modulations of mind. These practices are not for getting salvation under a tree but to get salvation when you live, that is more beauty.
